SPEECH SAMPLE

Good morning everyone,

Today, I’d like to talk about my favourite food — Biriyani!

First, let me describe it. Biriyani is a delicious rice dish made with long-grain basmati rice, spices, and meat — usually chicken or mutton. The aroma itself can make your mouth water!

Then, I must say, it’s not just about taste. Biriyani is special because it’s often made during festivals, weddings, or family gatherings. It brings people together.

After that, I have to mention my mother’s cooking. Her Sunday special chicken biriyani is unbeatable. She layers the rice and masala so perfectly, and the ghee on top adds magic!

Next, I love the blend of flavours — spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet. Every bite is a surprise. I also enjoy raita and pickle on the side.

Finally, biriyani makes me feel happy and full. It reminds me of joyful moments. That’s why it's not just my favourite food — it’s a memory on a plate.

Thank you!

Good morning friends,

My favourite food is something very close to my heart — Sadhya, the traditional Kerala feast.

First, Sadhya is usually served on a banana leaf and includes a variety of dishes like rice, sambar, avial, thoran, kichadi, pappadam, and payasam. It's colourful, flavourful, and healthy.

Then, I enjoy it most during Onam. My whole family sits together and eats with our hands — it's a joyful and cultural experience.

After that, what I love is the balance of flavours. Some dishes are sweet, others are sour or spicy. Together, they create the perfect harmony.

Next, I feel proud of our culture when I eat Sadhya. It's not just a meal; it’s a celebration of tradition and unity.

Finally, whenever I eat Sadhya, I feel peaceful and content. That’s why it’s my favourite food.

Thank you!

Hello everyone,

The food I love the most is simple but wonderful — Puttu and Kadala Curry.

First, let me describe it. Puttu is steamed rice cake made in a cylindrical shape, and kadala curry is a black chickpea gravy with coconut and spices. It’s usually a breakfast item in Kerala.

Then, I remember waking up to the smell of fresh puttu at my grandmother’s house. It was always served hot, with banana or sugar on the side too.

After that, the taste! The softness of puttu and the spicy flavour of kadala curry go so well together. It’s filling, healthy, and comforting.

Next, it’s also easy to make and doesn’t need too many ingredients. I once tried making it myself — and it turned out great!

Finally, Puttu and Kadala remind me of home, love, and tradition. That’s why it will always be my favourite food.

Thank you!
