SAMPLE 2/2

Hello everyone,

Today, I want to talk about something important — how to beat the heat in summer.

Summer can be very hot, especially in places like ours. We feel tired, sweaty, and sometimes even sick. So, we must stay cool and safe.

I wake up early in the morning. This way, I can do my work before the sun gets too hot. In the afternoon, I try to stay indoors.

I wear light cotton clothes. Cotton helps my skin breathe. I avoid dark colors because they absorb heat. I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. Drinking cold water, lemon juice, or buttermilk is also very good.

At home, we use fans and coolers. We don’t use the AC much to save electricity. We also keep curtains closed during the day. This blocks sunlight. In the evening, we open the windows. Fresh air makes the room cooler.

I eat light meals in summer. I like fruits like watermelon, mango, and bananas. I also eat salads, curd rice, and drink buttermilk. These foods are easy to digest and keep the body cool.

One of my favorite summer memories is from my grandmother’s village. We used to play outside in the mornings. Then, we took a bath in the pond. At night, we slept on the terrace under the stars. It was cool and peaceful.

To stay safe, we should not go out in the afternoon unless it is very necessary. The heat can cause headache, tiredness, or even heatstroke.

I think schools and offices should change their timing in hot weather. People should rest more in the afternoon.

To beat the heat, we don’t need fancy things. Just simple habits, healthy food, and lots of water can help us feel better.

Thank you.
