The Orange Tree Story

In this video, we see a young man in a peaceful village, seemingly somewhere in Africa, trying to pluck oranges from a tree.

At first, he keeps throwing a stick at the oranges, again and again, but none of his attempts succeed. Every throw goes astray — striking only the branches and leaves around, never touching the oranges. A few leaves fall, but not a single orange.

After many failed tries, the boy grows tired. Exhausted, he stands with his hands on his hips, fed up with his efforts. Then he gets an idea. He brings a long stick, hoping to knock the oranges down by striking them directly. But even with this long stick, nothing happens. No orange falls, and his disappointment deepens.

Just then, another man appears. Dressed in a white shirt, with a small stick in his hand, he seems confident in his stride. The first boy looks at him with surprise — and then with amusement.

The tired boy bursts into laughter. He mocks the newcomer, saying, “I’ve been trying for hours with this long stick and couldn’t get a single orange. How on earth will you manage with that tiny twig?” He keeps laughing, sure of the other’s failure.

But the new boy lifts his hand, makes a simple, precise throw — and to everyone’s amazement, a whole bunch of oranges comes tumbling down at once!

The first boy is stunned. His laughter dies instantly. He stands frozen, his face a mask of disbelief. After all his toil and struggle, even with a long stick, he could not pluck a single fruit — and here, with just one effortless throw of a short stick, the newcomer has succeeded.

The second boy calmly gathers the fallen oranges and walks away, while the first boy remains there, speechless, desperate, and unable to believe what just happened.
